English language Challenges

Well finally we are in the end of the year jejeje. To be honest, my experience learning english in the university is not the best, for very points ,  first, the schedule, its too late the class, its not very confortable go out for the class at eight of the night .
But the problems that we have with english , teachers and students, is a deeper problem that has to do with the implentación of English in college.In general I like the thing of have class where we speak with a partner, because I trained more my pronunciation and learned more vocabulary.
About the blogs I enjoyed more than the first semester because we start to comment for the another partners and I had so much fun.
I think I need to get better in the theme of speak, still difficult for me listen to the other person ,think the correct answer and keep a conversation. It could improve by practicing more and more music listening in this language or maybe travel to another country where speak english jaajaa, but that is very impossible.
Weeell sincerely impractical much English outside of class, rather than listening to music in English and sometimes when I read notices in english or I see movies in english.
I would like soon buy me some books in english for practice the language .

Some reflections...

Well this year have been very intense for many things. This is my third year and I got new classes, like the complementary workshop and english, in special english that the end class is at the 20:00 of the night so I get veryy late to my house and totally death because I dont have a good schedule. I choose ¨vaciado¨ for my complementary workshop , we work with gypsum and another materials, taking molds of different things and in this semester we work taking molds to faces, torsos, arms, legs and the last work we made the complete body.
This is a very hard work and I lost a lot of hours of the workshop of paint, for do the exercises of vaciado. But in the end I learn so much.
I pass many things goods, I know a lot of new people of the university that now I considerer a real friends, with they the long days that I have to pass make more comfortable and funny.
In my principal workshop we paint human body, sculpture, a series of self-portrait and the last work is a ¨cita¨of a famous paint. I very slow paint but for luck my teachers know the way our work, so  is not to much pressure, but we have to work constantly.
I have a very good year hard but nice in special for the people that I knew, so for the little days that I have for end finally the semester and the year is pass all my classes and got my holidays.

Plans for this summer

Well I don't have any plan to this summer only the most important and the thing I wait for a loong time is only relax in my house and sleep, get it back all the lost hours of sleep that I lost.
Really I like only stay in home during the summer and I have to take of my two nephews since I go out of classes because my brother and my sister in law have to work and I don't know if they will have vacations but I like pass the time with they , are funny and are obedient with me.
With my mom I would like to go to the south of Chile, maybe Valdivia or Chiloé and also with the rest of my family, I hope we can raise enough money to travel, and stay there for many days or weeks.
But if the plans don't work anyway I would like to go to the beach like all the summers with my family, aunts and cousins, we always pass good times together also visiting other beaches of the central coast. Also some years I travel to the beach with my friends but I don't know if this year we can go because some of they go out of classes in the end on January and start the classes the end of February so I think that they want expend time with their families.
My activities I would like to do is painting , draw , see a lot of movies , read my books and pass time with my friends and family.

My favourite TV series

Well I cant decide one is my favourite serie because I love two of them, they are Game of thrones and Fargo ( the first season).
Game of thrones start in  2011 his  first season, but I dont see since the beginning, I start to see the last year they fourth season who have ten episodes and later when the season ends I start to watch the old season all together and definitely I loved. Always I liked this histories when the fantasy and reality mixed and this have a really great history and also very complicated. This serie is an adaptation of the series of books ( only five are publish and the series is the seven books that his author still is written them). The cast is really great and all the deatails are very worked, like the costumes and the scenes, in future I like read the books, because maybe they are better than the series.
Another serie that I love is Fargo, this serie they  seasons  are independent, I mean the fisrt season is a different history and have different actors than the second, but the history have a little unions between they. The second season is in tv now , but I dont see it because they chapters are in air very late.
The first season is about murders and search a great killer, the cast is fantastic and have ten chapters so I recommend it so much.

How green am I?

I think people learn about this theme in the case of the kids now teach the environmet in the school but when I was go to the school never told us about friendly practices,
in the case of the rest of the people, in the internet exist a lot of information about this.
In my home with my parents try to be the more green possible so around six years ago we have a solar shower and it was fantastic because my parents save a lot of money that before they use to buy cylinder of gas, and the shower work all the year. One of my brothers made compost of the skin of fruits and rests of vegetables, we have a vegetable garden that my dad care for, in which have tomatoes, onions, etc. and we have many fruit trees like cherry, peach , lemons and grapes.
That type of things save a lot of money and reduce our carbon footprint.
I don´t use bike usually because I live so far of the university so I use public transport  and where I live prefer use my legs.
I dont join or support any eco-organisations because I dont have time and I dont know a organisations where I cant to join, but maybe in a future I would like be in one.
I think in our society in special in Santiago the people need more information and education about this theme because some people think that its difficult have a "green" life but with little things they can change the way of life.

My future job

When entering to study this race wanted to do pedagogy, but over time I changed my mind because the thought of having to keep coming to santiago I dislike the idea , Because I do not live in Santiago and every day I travel far to get to college.
During the last time I have been thinking that it would be best to create my own workshop in the place where I live, in which I can  teach different artistic disciplines, be it painting, drawing, sculpture, engraving, etc. . Besides I also love to teach art theory.
All of these classes would be divided by age from toddlers to seniors.
I discard the idea of ​​studying pedagogy, because I don´t want to teach in schools,I  think that art is not valued as it should be.
If in the future I have to work in office, I don´t mind, I think that if is something or for something that I really like, no matter where you work.
If I the opportunity to travel, I would love the idea, visit museums of other countries and different cultures, would help too to my plans for my workshop or if I have the chance to go for exchange in college I'd love to take theoretical subjects.
I hope in the future more classmates of my university join with me for make the workshop.

Last movie I saw

I dont remember really the last movie I saw in the tv on my computer, because I like see my favourites movies many times so Im going to talk about the last movie I saw in the cinema and it was
"Ant-man".
I like very much go to the cinema and I really like the Marvel movies and with a friend always we got to the cinema to see this superheros movies. In the cinema we find us with my sister- in-law and my two nephews and we got to buy the entrances two hours  before because the ticket office it was completley full and the day we go it was holiday (free day).
We buy a lot of pop corn and we enter to the see the movie.
That movie starring Paul Rudd , Evageline Lilly and Michael Douglas and the storyline is difficult to explain but in easy words is about a men who has a suit with a high technology and has the ability to get smaller, and along of the film he have to fight against a lot of problems.
I enjoy the movie because it has accion , drama and humor is not one of my favourites but for have a nice time I recommend.

My dog

I do not really like to call "pet" the animal with me, because they choose if they want to live with us. In my case the animal that lives with me is a dog and his name is Jack, is a cross between bull terrier and boxer and he is seven years old. Jack came to my house when he was a month old, his mother was a beautiful white bull terrier and his "owner" who was a colleague of my brother, who sold her cubs as they were purebred (a real jerk), but occurred an inconvenience and she had three mixed-breed puppies so its "owner" had to give them away.
And that's how Jack came to my house.
Immediately I loved it, it was one of the most beautiful and tender things he had seen.I spent all my time with him
He is very quiet, he likes to sleep and in spite of having blood of "dangerous breed" has never attacked anyone
I love animals and in the future I would like to have many animals, like dogs,  pigs and sheep, it would be fantastic!

The best holidays

I dont have a favourite holidays, all I enjoyed sooo much. But one of the most memorable holidays it was in the summer of 2012, with my best friends join money all the year to go to the beach.
We go to El Tabo where the grandparent's of one of my friend have a house there, but I can't remember the time we pass there, I think it was like 5 days.
We are six girls, we went a different beach every day like Las Cruces, San Antonio and Algarrobo, we pass al the day swimming, walking , talkin and buy a lot of things in fairs near of the beach , they were really  fantastic days. One of my friends is a excellent cook so all the days we eat a different things!
In the night we go to play taca-taca and other games, later we go to a beach near and talk for  a long timee.
Those days were really amazing, so when the holidays ended, it was really sad to separate us.

The country I would like to visit

I would like to visit many countries for several reasons but the country that I choose is New Zealand.
That place gain my attention mainly for their beautiful scenery: full of green, woods. mountains and their villages.
I know about this country because Im a fan of The Lord of the rings and  The hobbit movies and the majority of the scenes of the trilogies are film in this place, in fact the director of the movies is from there and his studios are situated almost there.
If I travel to New Zealand someday, the first place I would like to go is the Hobbiton movie set. In this place the little town of Hobbiton where live the protagonist of the movies,  the decoration is permanent, so the village is exactly who the people see in the movies.
I don't think in live or work there because its far away from my home and my family, so I only would like to go there to travel and know this wonderful place!

My National holidays

I spend the 18th of september with all my family in my home. I wait for this date for a long time because I dont have winter holidays, the only thing I want to make in this days is sleep all the day.
I have a big family so my brothers and my nephews come to my home, where I live with my parents.
My mom make pastys but I vegeterian so I dont eat it, I  totally prefer the salad and the dessert,"mote".
We pass the day together talkin and see movies and in the night we go to the "fondas", this year we play a lot of games in special with my nephews , we play in the "lota", throw the jars and shoot with a false gun. Also we drank "terremotos" and my mother bought things for do  "terremotos" in our house.
Im not a patriotic person for several reasons , but I really enjoy this days, because are free days , I can sleep more, see series and movies all the day, and the most important, I got time to spend with my family all the day.

Evaluation of Your Blogging Experience

In general I like the experience because I never wrote in a blog, but for me was very difficult the hour of the class, after the 18:30 my mind is tired and totally blank,so think in what I wrote it was hard.
I think my writing skills have developed a little,  for me is very difficult write in english yet. I learned a lot of new words and times of writing so after all I learn more new things.
In the future I like to talk about books , music and more art, but in general I like the themes of the blog, in special when I had to write about my favourite movie, concerts and artists of our area.
Write about music ,movies o things like that , I loved writing them. I really enjoyed.
This exercise of have a blog and write in there, I think is a very good idea for practice of think in english and write in english.

My best fiend

I think I dont have a best friend I consider many of my friends are the best.
I have best friends who meet in the school, girls and boys,  we start our friendship since the primary, until this day who all are in the university ,we try to see and keep in contact.
Another best friend is Paz, I meet her in the school too, in third grade of high school when the teacher sit together in the class. We  have so many themes about we can talk, since the most stupid thing until politics or themes more serious.
Now we cant see with frequent, because she study in Valparaiso and although we live in Paine, she live in the rural part of town, far away where I live.
Despite all the things , we call constantly.
In the  university I meet friends like Francisca and Marta,both meet in the workshop of painting and they are older than me. With them talk about different themes, and thanks to they I learn every day a different thing.
We support and take care each other. They make my days better.

Best Concert I have seen

I've been to several concerts and I have enjoyed all. But one was very different compared to the others .The concert,Roger Waters: The Wall in 2th March of 2012, it was held at the National Stadium and was the first of the two shows that the artist made in the country.
The tickets was a gift of my brother for my birthday.
From a very early age I been a big fan of Pink Floyd, the band broke up in the eighties,  but one of its  members still performing concerts of one of its most  iconic albums called The Wall realeased in 1979.
I went to the concert with my brother and the stadium was very crowded. There were so many people who couldn't sit in the seats so we had to sit on the stairs.
The show was spectacular very different to others concerts. With fireworks, airplanes, a lot of lights, actors and a giant wall it was built while the concert was performed, which also served big screen.
They were two and half hours of concert and at the end of the show Roger devoted to the memory of Victor Jara.
My brother took a lot of pictures and  the picture published is one of them.

My Favorite Movie

I don't have one favorite movie , I have six favorites movies. I love the saga of Peter Jackson inspired of the books of JRR Tolkien.
There are many characters, humans, hobbits, elves, wizards, dwarfs all in the fantasy world called middle-earth. The protagonist of The Lord of the rings is Frodo Baggins interpreted by Elijah Wood, a hobbit who have to destroy a evil ring with the help of his friends hobbits , Sam , Pippin and Merry , the wizard Gandalf the Grey , Aragorn  , Legolas an elf and Gimli a dwarf.
The Hobbit is the prequel of the Lord of the Rings ,when the uncle and tutor of Frodo, Bilbo Baggins interpreted by Martin Freeman ,who dont like the adventures have to go to one in company of Gandalf ,thirteen dwarves and the leader Thorin Oakenshield to regain his kingdom lost called Erebor and destroy a terrorific dragon, Smaug.
I don't have a favorite part and I wouldn't change any part.
I like because is a great history and all the characters are my favorites even the bad guys.

A Photograph I like

I don't know who took this photo but I got it from the facebook page call "Hobbiton movie set", Maybe taken by a tourist.
The photo shows a scene of a sunset on the Shire ( from the lord of the rings and the hobbit movies), the photographer is indoors of the house of the protagonists of the films called "Bag-end" a hobbit house with round doors.
I think the photo is taken around 2013 or 2014 im not sure about the date.

I like this picture because Im a great fan of the mythology and all the history of JRR Tolkien and the movies of Peter Jackson  and the picture shows the house of my favourite character .

One day in the future I  would like to travel , this place is located in Matamata , New Zealand where all the decoration of The Shire is permanent, in which all fans of Middle Earth can visit this wonderful place.

An expert on your field

Actually I  don't admire anyone in particular, but if I choose a person in this case an artist  who inspires me is Amedeo Modigliani.
He was an Italian painter and sculptor , he was born in 1884 and died in 1920 , studied in many academies of arts in Italy and  France, he had only one daughter with his partner and muse named Jeanne. During his life he never sold many paintings and never sold a sculpture, only after his dead their works start to sell.
His paintings are very contemporary for the period with a unique style like his sculptores .
I like this artist because he is a great painter with an excellent method and his themes for me are very interesting. He never sold for the trend of the age and followed his own road, created a particular art.
I admire his life and work since 2010,  when I bought a book with all his painting , life story and other works.

My Favorite Festivity

I don't have a favorite festivity , but if I have to choose I think the Christmas , is celebrated the 25th of the December the birth of Jesús since 2015 years.
My mom is very catholic but anyone of my family share this religion , so for us this day has another significance.
When I was younger  I loved that day only for the gifts but when  I grew up I like this day because all my family gathers to dinner and see movies( in special classic movies).
Also I like the exchanging gifts and and see the faces of my nephews and cousins when they open the gifts that the " viejito pascuero" brings them.
Thats the reason because , in all the "traditional festivities" I choose the Christmas.

My Favorite Piece of Technology

I don´t like very much the technology. My computers and cellphones always had the same end, a tragic end, Since I travel every day to Santiago I lost two cellphones because the unpleasants thieves.
Although I care for them all the day always, that happens to me! So finally I started to get cellphones with the basic , and more cheap.
But in my 20 birthday in February one of my brothers gives me to me an Iphone, I loved the gift and really was very thankful  because I  never thought that he gives me that cell phone.
I not a fanatic of the social networks ,but with my new cell phone I downland many applications , games , books and a lot of music !
I used every day because is my alarm to wake up in the morning and I like because is fast , very practical and his form its comfortable.
I care so much, not because is a Iphone ,  I care because it was a gift.

Expectations for a new semester

This semester I am again  in the painting class with the same teachers but and I start to paint human body , sculptures and sel-portrait. I have draw and History of Art with a different teachers. I have also taken a complementary class and I choose "vaciado" where we make mould of gypsum of many things. I no take a extracurricular class because I have no free time in the University and in the little free time I have I painting , read or study for a class.
I particulary like the class of painting and the class of "Seminario teorico"  beacuse I love paint and all about the history of the greatest artists.
I expect from this new academic period, learn more techniques of painting ,draw ,"vaciado" and knew all the art history. I specially expect approve all the classes that I take and fail no one.

Autobiography

Hi my name is Myriam Sepúlveda Manzor ,I was born in  February 23 of 1995 and always I lived in Paine, Santiago.
I have three brothers and I don't have sisters. I am the youngest and the only women. Two of my siblings have children, so now I have six nephews.
I studied primary and secondary on a catholic school in Paine. Now I study Artes Plasticas in University of Chile since 2013.
My hobbies are read ,see movies and listen music, my favourite authors are GabrielGarcía Marquez , J.R.R. Tolkien and Mario Benedetti and my favourites movies are the trilogy of the Hobbit and The Lord of the rings. Also I read comics in special the adventures of Wolverine of marvel comics and The sandman of Vertigo comics. I like the music of the sixties and seventies , my favourites artists  are The Beatles , Pink Floyd , Led Zeppelin and George Harrison.

Introduction

1- What are my expectations for level 3?
    My expectations for the level 3 is  to learn the language more than now and to be able to keep a conversation with someone and approve the class.


2-Which is my weakness and strenght in English?
 My streght in English is the listenig and reading and my weakness is to write the language and speak fluently.
